Natural Ways To Deal With Anxiety?

This year has been the toughest of my life. Top issue, the loss of my father. I have been on Xanax for the past several months, but don’t want to continue utilizing this type of treatment. I’ve been doing yoga, but find it difficult to stay focused. Any natural remedies to help combat anxiety/stress.

Exercise is one of the best natural ways to deal with anxiety.

You might also want to look into the whole “Food as Medicine” movement. There may be certain foods triggering your anxiety.

Talk with your natural food store about supplements that might help.

It’s not a natural remedy, but you might also talk with your doctor about Propranalol. I’ve been reading a lot about it and it’s use in anxiety. It’s a prescription drug that helps prevent your heart from racing, so the chain of anxiety is broken. They say it can also help with migraines if that’s an issue for you.

There’s a CD called “Anxiety Relief” by Sounds True. There are some good techniques there as well.

Biofeedback may be helpful and acupuncture or massage may be remedies to look into.

You might speak with your therapist and try EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or EMDR.
